Black Sex Link Pullet with a Black comb?

    Helen, the pullets on the left have a black comb. I'm guessing she's currently between 4 and 5 months old. Is this something I should be concerned about? Her sister on the right, is Wanda, Wandas comb is a light color and is getting redder. Helen's is still black. Also, I'm not sure if it matters or not but we've recently been able to determine that Helen is the alpha in our small flock (we have 4).

    Not quite certain what they are, but I doubt that they are black sex links. Where did you purchase them?

    A bird farmer up in Leonard, Michigan. They had tons of chickens, turkeys, ducks, etc...

    They told us Black Sex Links so that's the reference to breed I have.

    Would it help if I posted more pics of them to better determine the breed?
