Black silkie gender

We have a black silkie and we originally thought she was a hen but “she” started crowing a bit this morning. Thoughts?

So we have a speckled Sussex hen… with the silkie rooster, can we hatch the eggs? I have no idea if a silkie would fertilize a hens eggs that is quite a bit bigger

Of course, he'll figure it out. you'll need a few more hens though.

He is such a cute little cockerel!! He has tiny wattles developing. You should add some more pullets so your little girl has some company
