Black skinned meat chickens

    does anyone have or heard anything about black skinned broilers for the asian market? anyone breeding them?

    I think those are typically silkies... I've never heard of a black skinned chicken bred for meat, but I know that asians consider silkie a delicacy

    Silkies; Although there is a rare, all black chicken called the Ayam Cemani, but those are really, really rare and specific to their location.

    A very famous poultry academian worked on a black skinned broiler for many years as personal, not associated with the university, project. The objective was an improved carcass but still with the black skin.
    He has sold the stock and all elements relating to them to a very large poultry meat producer here in the US.
    And that is all I can say about that.
