Black spots on bill?

Our white Call has black spots on her bill. Is this normal? Our ducklings were cast offs and I have been busy being sick all summer and really didn't have a chance to check this out.

I believe black spots appear after the hen starts laying. Dave Holderread says so anyway. I am fairly sure it isn't a bad sign.

I don't think she has been laying yet. We got her right after Easter (like I said in another post, she was an Easter "cast off" onto us). I saw online in one place that they are like freckles but want to be certain. Ariel belongs to my daughter and it won't be good if something happens to Her Royal Highness

spots on the bill is kinda like human freckles... my runner got them too, they start off kinda purple or black colored and then they get more and more.... now my duckie is a freckle face. lol. no need to be alarmed.

I feel a lot better now. I think she doesn't walk right either so I have to keep an eye on her!
