Hi all and Happy Easter! Today I boiled the eggs for the deviled eggs Im making for tomorrow. I saw something I have never seen before, black speckling on the membrane lining the egg. The whites of the eggs seem unaffected and the eggs tasted fine. These eggs I have been saving and are almost 2 weeks old. I haven't noticed it on any of the eggs we have been eating recently, but then again havent been looking. Everyone is on a fried egg kick.Has anyone ever seen this? Thanks It looks like mold. When you peel off the membrane it comes right off with it.
