I boiled my organic eggs for Easter, when peeling them they had tiny black spots on the egg white.
Does anyone know what it is and how to get ride of them?
    thank you

the spots are usually on the surface and a little bigger than a head of a pin to a pin point in size.

YES this happened to me too, although my eggs were store bought. They were free range from a local farm though. And mine were definitely brown, not black. I think it was food coloring penetrating the shell.

That doesn't look like dye penetrating the shell. Almost looks like mold. That is just my opionion. i don't know anything about fresh eggs.

What kind of water do you have ? I am thinking that there is a reaction to something in the water and whatever is on the shell. Try boiling them in distilled bottled water to try out this theory. Or number two, how old are the eggs ? If you have chickens I am betting that they are fresh and I doubt if mold grows on the inside of an egg shell, but who knows ?

I've had that when my newer chickens were laying but I didnt eat them because no one had a good answer on here. I threw them away and started over again. Its not mold, mine were fresh also. I dont know what it is but I thought better safe then sorry.

Could this be what it is? From the United Egg Producers facts...

What are the dark spots in some eggs?
Brown hens have not been genetically improved over time like their white counterparts. That's why a brown egg will occasionally have paprika-looking spots of dark red in the egg. These may surprise you, but they are harmless. Scientists report that most of these spots are simply the pigment coloring from the shell.

is it just on the outside? are the spots running throughout the egg white? noticeable firmness/texture (can you feel them when you run your finger over them) difference?
