Black spots

    My Rooster has black spots on his comb and my hens do too - they are all acting fine - the hens are laying normal. They are all about a year old. I live in Alabama and it hasn't been a super cold winter, but they are in a fenced area and have ran out of fresh grass if that makes a difference (we are going to open their fence up in the Spring) Help!

    Welcome to BYC. It is dried blood either from pecking or tiny fly bites. Later on when mosquitoes are out, you may see fowl pox, which are different looking spots, and can be pretty bad in the deep south. That isn't pox though.
