Are black swedish ducks known to go broody?
I'm hoping someone will know the answer; those are the kind of ducks I'm getting this spring. I couldn't find much about broodiness when I was doing my research. I'm not getting a drake though so I won't have to worry about babies.
I would too! I have a chance to get a couple of swedish ducklings today after work, and hope someone will know before I get home.
Swedish ducks in general are known to go broody on a "fair-good" basis according to Storey's guide to raising ducks...
Thanks Nettie! I have that book, I guess I missed that part, or it's been so long since I read it I forgot.
when my lady swedish ducks are cohabitating with a man duck, they go broody and hatch out duckies.
dont mean to steal your post but does anyone have blue sweedish for sale?
Might want to try Metzers, they are still shipping out through December.
