I'm fixin to be overrun with them. On 80 acres, I'm not sure I could find a single acre that didn't have at least some blackberries growing on it. Okay to share with the chicks (7 weeks old)? I know they love the wild strawberries I give them.

You can feel free to share with me [IMG]

I bet your chicks would love them. You can freeze some and give them to your girls in the winter when they won't be getting alot of fresh vegetation and they will love you for it!

    How are your girls doing?

Prudence and Cruella are doing great. Pru is totally feathered out but poor Cru is only half way there [IMG]

Thanks girlfriend. I figured they'd be okay, since they have absolutely no problem with the wild strawberries that I find in the yard. I've been on a watermelon kick also, so they help me by cleaning up the rines.
Everybody is doing great. I gave away 3 extra roosters, so I'm down to 18. Still living on the screened porch though, as coop building has been very slow. Everybody's feathered out, except for the darks. They still have a little fuzz.
Great to see ya round again. [IMG]

Yeah those should be fine too. I did that for the wild birds and they went nuts for them [IMG]

GritsAr, have you added any new pix of them to the forum?

They love all kinds of berries, and the blackberries will be a great addition to their diet. We feed ours plenty come summer, along with pitted cherries, mulberries, raspberries, strawberry tops, and blueberries. THEY GO CRAZY FOR THEM!

They love melon rinds and mushy pumpkins, too [IMG]
