Blackberry Cake

    I am posting this here until I can build this thing good enough for the recipe index pics:

    ‎3 cups cake flour
    1 T baking powder
    1/2 t salt
    1/4 t baking soda
    1 1/4 c sugar
    2/3 c milk
    4 large eggs
    1 1/2 c softened butter
    Smuckers seedless blackberry jam

    Combine flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder and salt and set aside. Beat softened butter and sugar until creamy. Beat in flour mixture, eggs and milk until blended. Beat for two minutes.

    Spray 3 cake pans with Pam and evenly distribute batter. Bake at 350* for 19-23 minutes.


    2 c softened butter
    1 t vanilla
    7 1/2 c powdered sugar
    1 c Smuckers Blackberry syrup

    beat the butter and vanilla until light and fluffy, gradually add the powdered sugar and syrup.

    When completely cooled, level cake layers, cut each layer horizontally. Spread one layer with jam, top with the other half and spread with frosting, repeating until you have the thing built.
