Blackened Comb/Wattles?

Curious if anyone else has dealt with this issue. Not entirely sure what it is & I'm rather curious as well needing to know if it's serious & I need to intervene. Picture for better explanation.

His comb and wattles are frost bitten. The blackened areas will dry up and eventually fall off. His fertility may be negatively impacted until all heals up.
