One of my hens has came down with blackhead im afraid. Yellow dropping. Droopy wings. Listless. I’ve separated her. She’s still eating and drinking. I put cayenne and garlic in her water. Along with electrolytes. And have flagyl on the way for her. I know she may be lost to us already but my question is mainly what to do with my remaining flock. Do I treat them as well? So far no one else has shown any symptoms. Everyone is over 5 months old.

Oh no! Can you order some Baytril too? You will need that to treat the e. coli they when they have blackhead.

For the healthy ones, get some Safeguard (fenbendazole) or Valbazen (albendazole) and treat them for cecal worms.

Safeguard dose - 0.23 ml per pound of body weight orally once and repeat in 10-14 days.
Valbazen dose - 0.08 ml per pound of body weight orally once and repeat in 10-14 days.

Thank you! What is the dose of the baytril?

When you are treating turkeys with fenbendazole, are you putting down their throats?
