    Leavingegypt Chillin' With My Peeps

So I got my first chicks almost 6 weeks ago. 3 BO and 3 Production Reds. They are all doing well and have been moved outside. I have yet to see any nastiness between them, although I may have 2 roos in the bunch. I was contemplating getting a few more chicks- a BLRWs. I love the way they look and are supposed to be a good breed. A friend of mine has come along and said I could have hers, a grown hen.
What are the implications and how do you blend a family of multi-aged birds. How would I bring in 2 week old chicks (another opportunity)? What about the adult hen? Or should I leave well enough alone?
My coop will confortably handle 12 full sized chickens and has a good sized run. We also plan to free-range on our 1 1/2 acres, and have already started our 6 with outside time during the day.
