I have five Indian Runners, which we hatched last winter. About two weeks ago, we noticed that one of the girls (we have three) was acting odd, bumping into things and separate from the flock (previously they were never apart) we took her to the vet and he confirmed our suspicion that she was blind. He feels she was born this way, but I can't believe I wouldn't have noticed her unusual behavior sooner. Has one else had a duck go blind? and if so any idea for the cause. The flock does seem to be looking out for her, and she seems able to stay close to them except on rare occasion when they race ahead of her.
Would love any and all advice.
