Anyone ever experienced this? Very healthy duckling yet not responding and getting lost in the coop.

It might be special, maybe it was a late hatcher or didn't get as much yolk absorbed. It might just need some special care. Don't give up yet! I would separate it off from the group, maybe with just one buddy for comfort, but offer it Sav-A-Chick in the drinking water. Gently dip its bill into the water, then the food crumbles.

He is eating and drinking fine. We noticed something was odd when we went to pick the ducks up. All ran and this one didn't see your hand coming. Then they all were running and playing. All the ducks would cuddle back up together. This one stood off crying not able to find his friends. He is going off the sound and following the others. Very cute.

This lil one is going to have to have more protection and not be allowed to be in the open where it may get nabbed by a predator. It will contiunbe to hone it's other senses and be able to keep up to a degree with it's flock but It would be way to venerable to be left outside in the open with out protection of a run or small fenced in area. Pics when you can please.
