I have just bought three commmon pheasant a couple weeks ago. 1 rooster and 2 hens,I been meaning to ask this question and get side tracked. They all three have blinders on them. Do I leave them on or take them off?

A lot depends on how aggressive the individual birds are. I hate blinders myself and try to avoid using them but I did have one ringneck cock that I had to resort to using a blinder on for awhile. I try to give mine plenty of space and that seems to help.

If you take them off and start having pecking problems you can always put them back on - will just need new pins.

Take them off.If you have a trio with only 1 male they will be fine.I hate those stupid things. They are mainly for people that overcrowd their pen and the birds start to peck each other just to get some space.

I also agree. Pen space is key
