I went out to check the nest boxes for eggs, and found 4 to my surprise. [IMG]

One of them did have some blood on it though which hasn't happened before, but I am assuming that someone new is laying since we don't usually get 4, so is that normal or should I go check.
I did go and give a quick look at the girls and saw no blood on the feather around that area, but my girls that are laying are red (buff comets), so It's kind of hard to tell.

    Thanks
    Jess

Oh thank you so much!!! Glad to know that. It wasn't even a big egg, so I can only imagine if she lays a double. [IMG]

I remember the first egg I saw with blood on it--it looked like she had been through war inside her nesting box...there was blood on the egg and blood smeared on the inside of the box...it was scary! But she was just fine!!! [IMG] lol about a double yolker!!! I KNOW!!!! [IMG]
