Blood On Egg

A couple of days ago I noticed one of my hens is laying their egg with blood streaked on it. I've never seen this before. Unfortunately, I don't know which hen it is as they all lay their eggs in the same spot.

Here is a picture of the egg. The blood washes right off of course, but I'm concerned about the hen's health:

Unfortunately, there really isn't anything you can do about it, that I know of. Most people's experience is that this resolves itself in time. Good luck!

Yes it is fairly common to see this in a newer layer. It should stop after some time.
