I had a thread over in Chicken Behaviors and Egg-laying, but I think I need to start a new one. I put my broody pullet in her chicken jail as was suggested. Now she has gotten her comb bloody just above her nostrils. I don't know exactly how this happened. Maybe she is pecking food through the bottom wire grate? She is also banging her head on the sides of the cage when she paces.
I posted pics of her current of the jail set-up in the other thread. I can move them here if necessary. What should I do, if anything, for the raw area on her comb? Will she settle down?
