Bloody egg...is my chicken ok?

My brown leghorn finally laid her first egg, five weeks after her flockmates. But there was a little blood on the outside of the shell. Is she ok? Do we need to do anything?

She is fine. That is normal if it is only a little.

Oh good. I told my daughter (it's her chicken) and she is much relieved. Told her giving birth is a tough job!

And it was only a little. I didn't see it when I found it in the nest, she just saw it washing it.

I posted incorrectly. My chicken laid this. I don't want to be crass, but it looks like an egg in a condom. Do I have a sick chicken or did two eggs come out at once: one formed, one not formed. Please advise.
