Bloody egg shell

So every day, for about a month now, I find one egg that has the shell smeared with blood. We have a flock of ten birds that are 8 months old. None appear to be acting different. I can’t see any indication, on the vent, of which bird is even doing it. We are all worried about her. What can I do to help? What is causing this?

Hard to say what or if anything can be done to 'fix' it.
First thing to do is figure out which bird, major time spent nest stalking is about the only way to figure it out.

Did you ever figure out what is going on?

I seem to be having a similar problem. There's one bird, who looks normal, that periodically lays an egg with blood smeared on the outside of the shell. Nothing else seems to be wrong with the egg or the bird as far as I can tell.
