I have a bantam that has a bloody foot, she has a feathered foot and it looks like it is the feathers that are bleeding, she is bleeding enough to leave a trail in the chicken area. She limps on it and spends most of her time roosting so she doesn't have to use her sore foot. It seems that she has had a sore foot since she was born, she is a spring chich. I didn't know or think that feathers bled? Any suggestions? This is the chicken that my kids like the most (of coarse, right). There is a local vet that treats chickens but it will be $50.00 to just walk through the door, I only spent $1.36 on the chickens originally. Any help or advise would be great.
Thanks

keep her in a pet carrier, and soak her feet.
i bet se would love some scrambled egg or youghurt
good luck

Luke.
