We just got 6 baby chicks, 1 week old. One is much smaller than the others, has no feathers on it's bottom and has poo constantly stuck on her. Also small amount of blood coming out. Should we separate her from the others? Will she die?

Mine did the same thing, I just cleaned her bottom the blood is from the poop pulling the feathers out prob I didnt' take mine out but it depends on how much its bleeding i would think.

Do you have them on medicated feed? Coccidiosis causes wet, bloody droppings. The bottom should be cleaned daily, hopefully the others wont bother it, if it's only a small area on the bottom.

I would clean the lil one's bottom with warm water and dry it well. Then put a very little dab of mineral oil on a Q-Tip, around the vent ...that will help keep the poo from sticking to the bottom so bad.
