When I was bringing my chickens in yesterday I noticed one was just laying outside and wouldn't come in for me, I looked and noticed her eye is swollen and bleeding. I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this? I've been soaking it with warm water and putting a medicated polysporn on it but it doesn't seem to be improving. Any suggestions?[IMG][/IMG]

That looks like she may have had her eye punctured. Do you suspect a predator, possibly a peck wound, or a puncture? I am hoping that is just external bleeding, but hard to tell from your first picture being shaded. It may be painful, but I would try to examine it to see if the eye is still there. I would clean it with saline and a clean cloth or apply a warm wet soak to her eye. Vetericyn eye was or eye gel, and Terramycin eye ointment are all good to apply to her eye.
