Is this something that happens from time to time, or something unusual? I do have one hen that stopped laying about a week ago, and has definitely not been feeling well. Kind of lethargic, not eating/drinking well (but eating a lot of grass), strange droppings with yellow or green urates. So when I saw this egg today, I wondered if it could be hers. She seems to be feeling much better today, but I guess it could be a coincidence. This might not be her egg at all. Any thoughts?

looks like a hen broke a blood vecile (sp?) while making the egg I would keep a look out but would not worry it may be 1 egg in a million.

    Thanks, that is good information.

Now it's just driving me crazy wondering if this egg is from my hen who stopped laying and wasn't feeling well, but suddenly seems improved today!
