blotchy eggs when candling.

I candled my eggs on day 7 and noticed that there were a few eggs wit blotchy light spots on the shell. Is this a bad sign?

I think your describing a porous egg shell. I've had a line of chickens that only laid shells like that and they hatched just fine. It's said if you've a choice to not hatch the porous ones but I've not had problems with them.

Good stuff. That's a relief as I thought they were no good. Will give them another week and check again.
