Cynthia or anyone else, she/he is 8 or 9 weeks old. No more comb development so what do you think now?

I have 2 banties that look just like that. I havent been able to tell the breed. Oh my God I am so excited. I hope thats what they are! Hooray.

Looks like a cockerel. I have a pullet and she is 17 weeks and her comb is still flat and not even pink yet.

If the comb has 1 ridge it's a girl if it has 3 ridges it's a boy. I was hoping for a blue boy but so far I have 2 black roos and blue girls.

Just wanted to say what a pretty bird!!! I have a chick I think will be blue - I hope he/she is gonna be that pretty!

I'd say cockerel at that age. The comb isn't raised much but there's alot of color for that young. Here is a picture of Silver at 17 weeks old for comb comparison. Good looking boy, though! Not sure whose mama is his, Charlotte or Silver, though. Do you remember?

At what age did you know Silver was a cockerel?.... and what tipped you off? I'd like to know what to look for as our little rescued straight-run feed store EE gets older. We can't, of course, keep a roo in the city

She is almost 5 weeks now.
