Blue copper marans question

do the Blues and blue copper marans really come from breeding splash marans to black copper marans.i was told this today and whated to know what everyone thought thanks

The Blue Copper comes from the Black Copper,and the introduction of the Blue Andalusian gene pool I beleive.

Copper blues will result from crossing copper splash with copper black; though in my experience the copper splash marans don't always show much copper even from lines with a lot of copper in the blues.

a blue bred to a black will give 50% blue and 50% black, a splash bred to a black will give you 100% blues
