blue eggs....

    --Araucanas lay blue only
    --Ameraucanas lay various shades of blue or blue-green
    --EEs may lay green, blue, or brown

    Easter Eggers, Americanas, and Aracana's (Oh, my!) I believe they are all hybrids so the colors may vary a bit depending on the parents. You can see lots on pictures on the thread showing folks first eggs.

    [​IMG] [​IMG] Actually the one of mine lays an egg that could "almost" be blue but the others lay green - one is a really lovely dark olive color.
    They are true araucana's as well in case anyong thinks otherwise [​IMG] the one that almost lays blue is tufted, her name is sky - one of the others is rumpless. They're not perfect show quality but they're pure.

    As I understand it, if it's not laying a blue egg, it's not an Araucana.
