    Has anybody used it for picking and does it harm the eggs.Please help new to chickens.

    It is frequently used to discourage others from pecking a particular spot. I have no idea how well it works. No, it has no effect on the eggs.

    I've used it a good bit. It works great. It does, however, stain the chicken blue. I've also used pine oil from the feed store and it works just as well.

    It seems to work well and is an antiseptic too.

    Make sure you wear old clothing and rubber gloves as you may end up with purple dye all over you ~ especially if your chicken does not cooperate when you apply it. It will wear off your skin in a few days! [​IMG] It will stay on the chickens feathers until they molt.
