i have these two 5 week old littles. I feel quite positive that the lighter grey one is a BCM pullet. No clue about the other. It looks so different in body type, being much taller and with high set tail feathers. I thought at first it was a roo but it’s super timid compared to the others and the comb is staying small. Langshan pullet? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

They could be Blue Langshans. Where did you get them? Breeder? Hatchery? The feathering on the outer toe only is a Langshan trait. Most other feather legged breeds have feathers on the outer and middle toe.

Thanks for the responses! I got them from a local small breeder specializing in rare breeds. Long story, but the blue langshan chicks were mixed with the blue copper Maran chicks, so I got two not knowing what they would be.

Marans also are only supposed to feather on the outer toe - it's a flaw to see feathers on the middle toe. The thing about the lighter grey one - is that yellow on the beak? Marans shouldnt have any yellow. You'll know before too long as they have totally different body types.

Here’s a better pic of each.

Yea, I think the lighter one does have a bit of yellow on the beak.

Both only have feathers on one toe.
