My friend has a large mixed flock, her roo is a French blue copper maran and she has a bunch of different breeds and mixes of hens: Australorps, ameracauna, barred rock, blue copper maran, buff brahma, Cochin, golden laced Wyandotte, and some I don't recognize like a flighty small black hen (not irridescrnt) that has white earlobes. I hatched a dozen eggs for her, and one chick was an adorable little silver puff that hatched out of a regular old brown egg. The thing is that this chick (a rooster) has turned out to have BLUE legs. He's a beautiful grey color with splashes of darker grey. But the blue legs! Not just like kind of a blue-ish gray but actually blue. None of her birds have blue legs like this so I'm not sure who the blue came from? Anyway, she offered to let me have it so I thought I'd see if I can't get some more blue legged birds out of him. Any idea what he is mixed with?
