Blue over black Marans

Hello,

Can someone tell me what I will get if I cross a blue copper Marans rooster with a black copper hen? Will the chicks be either/or, or would they be a splash?

I just hatched some eggs and some are definitely black, and some are a "ligher black/kinda grey-ish", but not a true blue.

A blue copper rooster over a black copper hen will produce blue copper and black copper offspring, you won't get any splash from that pairing.

You treat them as if you were breeding regular blues and blacks, the copper is a separate gene.
