I went to tractor supply, saw chicks, and well, I'm sure you all know the rest. I got some blue plymouth rocks because I didn't like the other breeds they had (RIRs and meaties). From my research it says they're sexlinks. Is that right? It says males have a white dot and females don't. None of mine have the white dot but I want to be sure before I get excited. 😂

Yes I believe they are sex linked however I don’t think their sexlinking is 100% accurate like other breeds such as ISA browns are. From some research it says it’s around 80% accurate

Blue Plymouth rocks are a standard breed. Both males and females are blue, with no head spots.

Sapphire Gems are sometimes confused with Blue Plymouth rocks at farm stores. Sapphire Gems are a blue sex link hybrid created by the hatcheries. Male chicks will have a head spot and females will not. When they are older, females are solid blue and males are barred.

Ooh ok. Guess I'll have to wait then.
