Hello! I hope I’m posting this in the right place..apologies if not! I received 3 Blue Red OEGB chicks from Ideal yesterday and one is colored differently than the other two. When I inquired, the response was that there are 3 accepted colorings for this variety. I can’t find any additional info on the internet and all pics I’ve seen of this variety show chicks with brown chipmunk stripes. Any info or direction to an online source would be much appreciated!

It's because of the "blue" part of the coloring.
The blue gene is incompletely dominant:
--no blue gene, some parts of the bird are black
--1 blue gene, the black parts are turned to blue
--2 blue genes, the black parts are turned to splash (light grayish, maybe with black bits)

So you've probably got a Splash Red chick there.
