I got a bag of blue seal grower mash from a feed supply store yesterday as I was out of chick food. I don't normally use this brand but this is all they had. it is mash but I am finding these large (up to 1/4" wide and various lengths) pellets that are dark green or black popping up in the bag. the mash itself is a tan color so these really stick out. at first I thought it was a beetle but after looking closer, they are pellets and the length varies depending on where it broke. is this normal for this feed? I'm calling the grain store in the morning.
