What is the typical ratio for number of females per male for bobwhite quail? Are they like livestock birds or more like wild birds that tend to be more 1:1? thanks

Depends on how you want to breed them.....They can be bred..

    1 male to 1 female

    1 male to 2 females

    1 male to 3 females

    1 male to 4 females

Or colony which would be 3-4 males to 12 or so females. Or more. Just keep a basic ratio when colony breeding bobs of 1 male to 2 females or 1 male to 3 females.
    Good Luck!
