boo boo on leg from leg band... Help

We just removed a leg band from one of our hens, it got stuck and wore a hole in it's leg.
Is there anything I can put on it that will not make her sick?

I feel really bad, I normally check each day on those bands to make sure they are moving..

Same thing happened to me. Just clean it with soap and water and put some antibiotic cream on it. It will be fine. Yes, people should be aware-I am now!
