Finally found me a good deal on one! I'd love to get a CURRENT one, but I enjoy ANY book with chickens regardless of age.

I bought a copy of

The American Standard of Perfection for Domesticated Land and Water Fowl from the late 50s or 60s???

What can I expect as far as breed standard changes? Have they changed much since then? I can't wait to thumb through this book!

And PLEASE don't tell me there's NO chickens in it! LMAO That would be my luck..... but, I plan to get other fowl too, so it would still be ok

The information on the birds that will be listed will be pretty much the same now as in the one you bought, A current SOP is available from the APA for $14.00.

I'm hoping to save up for a color version

If I go and buy the B&W, I'll never be able to justify saving up for the other.... LOL
