Finally found me a good deal on one! I'd love to get a CURRENT one, but I enjoy ANY book with chickens regardless of age. [IMG]

    I bought a copy of

The American Standard of Perfection for Domesticated Land and Water Fowl from the late 50s or 60s???

What can I expect as far as breed standard changes? Have they changed much since then? I can't wait to thumb through this book!

And PLEASE don't tell me there's NO chickens in it! LMAO That would be my luck..... but, I plan to get other fowl too, so it would still be ok [IMG]

The information on the birds that will be listed will be pretty much the same now as in the one you bought, A current SOP is available from the APA for $14.00.

I'm hoping to save up for a color version [IMG] If I go and buy the B&W, I'll never be able to justify saving up for the other.... LOL
