Got these two on Wednesday in the Rainbow Layer bin. Any ideas on the "real" breed? Not that I really care, just curious.

Not sure on the first one but the second one looks like an Easter Egger.

Usually when they sell rainbow layers it's buff orpington, rir, and bar rock

They had separate bins for rir and barred rock. I was thinking possible ee on the 2nd one as well. They had buff Orps last week but not this week. Joan could be that I guess. Don't really know much about those.
ETA: most of the chicks in the bin were yellow in color. These two and just a couple of others had any variations and the 2nd one I got was one of the darkest.

That's an awfully cute color! Rainbow Layer bins usually just hold chicks that weren't sold or weren't marked from the hatchery. Their breed is a surprise! You might have a cute little Production Red there, though!

I bought a production red and she doesn't look like either of these.

12 week old Cinnamon who is not a pullet. Pretty sure he's easter egger. Possibly from aracauna (probably butchered that spelling) lines as he has no tail to speak of.

Joan about 8 weeks. Shes ever elusive and i dont have a good recent pic of her. Still wondering about her breed.
