Hey everyone. I have a turkey who is about 4 and a half months now (I think) and I can't tell what it is. I think it could be a girl because of its nose piece(I forget what it's called) It hasn't gobbled yet but it struts when my French bulldog is out. It seems like he/she is trying to protect my chickens. I have had this breed of turkey before and it started gobbling pretty young but from the research I've done gobbling doesn't really go by age. So if any one has advice I would love to hear it.
P.S. it only has one wing because it was in an accident but recovered quickly and is very healthy now.

Thanks

She is a hen. Hens can and do strut. The nose piece is a snood. The lumps on her neck are caruncles.

I recommend that you get her a turkey companion.

Thank you,
She had a companion that passed away and so I'm looking for a new one but I wanted to know what she was because I didn't really want to get a tom and then have two fighting toms.

Unless you are wanting to hatch eggs, I recommend getting her a hen for a companion.
