We have raised our incubation hatch rate by manually turning the eggs v.s. the auto turner... go figure. Chickens galore this late batch. I figure simulating more of what a broody hen reposition of the embryo in the egg rather than a gradual tilt. More time consumption of course but higher.. very higher yield. More eggs can also fit at start up.
We will use auto turners for when we have to be out of town only now.
Higher yields = more $ coming into the farm.
 
Its interesting how the manual turning of eggs could increase the rate of hatching that much. I guess it shows how the auto turners aren't really as similar to the hen turning her eggs.
