    Im having trouble sexing my CMs. They almost all look the same to me. They all have the dot on their heads but they are huge

    Also I forgot to ask, how much feather on the foot is considered too much for a chick not to be considered a welsumer?

    I don't know on the CM. So I can not help you there. From what I remember reading about Barred Rocks, the ones with the large white spots on their heads are males and no white or very very little of it would be females.

    I see females in the Welsummers....its not a very good picture of them but that would be my first guess unless you can get better pictures.

    yeah I had to take them with my playbook, For some reason I was never able to get a good shot from my digital camera with the heat lamp on. but the wellies are all exactly the same

    Ok So my last wellie hatched, this is my only one that does not have a feathered leg so I'm really hoping on keeping this one
