Hi All,

Thanks for helping in advance. Wondering about this lavender buff orphington. I hatched 10 cross orphingtons/barred rocks and ended up with 5 roosters (I think) but this one is confusing me. He/she certainly acts like a rooster but has no real comb development to speak off but it is redder. They are 6 weeks old. It was one of the first to hatch in a 8 day period so I can't really go by size although its definitely one of the larger ones. Any ideas please?

At 6 weeks old, most likely a male.

Very likely a cockerel. He has a rose comb, so he has got something other than Barred Rock and Orpington in him.
