Boy or girl? Silkie mix?

This chicken is listed as a girl at the shelter and I'm scheduled to meet her and possibly adopt, but I'm wondering if there's a chance she may actually be a boy. She looks like some kind of silkie mix and I thought that would explain her "look" (she doesn't look much like my silkie hen at home, especially in the face). What do you all think?

I would think they wouldn't list her as a girl if she was really a boy or unknown... so I really want her to be a girl!

It's a male. Either a silkie-showgirl (nacked-neck silkie) or a nacked-neck x silkie mix

You're right, but some poorly bred ones may have a non-black skin.
I've seen low quality cemanis with reddish skin
