Father is a black silkie and mother is a white leghorn
WAY too young to tell. Try again in about 8 weeks.
Are Silkie/Leghorn not sex-linked?
Well, the white of the leghorn is dominant, so all chicks hatched from that cross will be white.
There may be other sex linked traits, such as feather growth and skin color (https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/366676/confused-is-fm-sex-linked). I don't know enough about anything other than the standard BSL and RSL to give any sort of guess.
No sex linkage I'm aware of. As stated, the dominant white of the leghorn will give you white chicks with some black spots, both genders.
I'm not sure what type of sex link you were expecting?
Yeah, nicalandia, tadkerson and henke and those others get way beyond what I understand. You could pm him (nicalandia) and see what he thinks.
That one's way beyond my pay grade
