Boy or girl?

    I got my cuckoo marans at the end of February, I think that makes him/her 10 weeks old. I'm not sure what gender he/she is.[​IMG]

    I'm 85 % certain that he is a cockerel. - I think that I can see (with my old eyes) pointy hackle and saddle feathers.

    I'm new to chicken farming, would someone please tell me what hackle and saddle feathers are??? Thank you

    Hackle are the neck feathers. Depending on their shape, some usually mean cockerecockerel. Saddle feathers on a rooster point downward just behind the tail feathers. :)
