Sexing birds that young is a black art to me. I can almost always get it wrong… but I hope you have the pullets you wish.

Actually we were hoping one or two of them was a Roo. We have upwards of 20 pullets. He would be a happy boy for sure.

They're just over 14 weeks and I just added them to the big girl coop last night. At least two of them act a little different than any of the Pullets we've had in the past. And they hang their heads a bit different. I guess I won't know until they crow?

How old will they be when I know for sure? When they lay an egg?? Lol!

7th picture down the three from front to back all show pretty standard pullet pattern/color for EEs -- the fourth back, though, the red one...I would be interested in seeing a picture of that one that shows the entire bird.

Interesting... The redish one would be the one I least expected to be a boy of the 4 of them. I've had them since 3 weeks and always thought the gray/blue one was going to be a boy. I'll get more pictures when I get home this afternoon.

Not saying red is/isn't a pullet, just that one is the one least visible in the pictures, so it's hard to get a good read either way - what might look like patchy dark coloring, for example, may prove just to be shadows or lighting vs. what is really on the bird.

I got ya. She pretty much looks like the rest of them. About how old are they when you can tell for sure? I guess maybe I'll adopt a rooster from craigslist or something...
