We brought home our first birds on Saturday. A trio of BRs and a pair of Sussex. Just wondering how they will do as meat birds. I bought them specifically for eggs but ended up with 2 roos. (I knew they were roos, he just didn't want to break up the pairs) So, if we are able to get chicks this spring, would the extra cockerels make good meat birds? What is the best use for a bantam? They are so small and I'm so green to all this, I just don't know what we should do if we get chicks. Thanks!
