Hi all! I have some chickens hatched May 17. I had been hoping that my little packing peanut BR was a roo, but never saw any signs of roo-ish behavior or looks (but what do I know??[IMG]). Still have never heard any crowing. But then a couple of days ago I suddenly noticed that one of them has a much larger comb than the rest. What do you think? Do I have a roo after all? I'd be happy if I do! [IMG]

It's a girl!!! And you're probably going to start getting eggs soon.

Well, kind of rats. [IMG] I figured I had all pullets since I hadn't seen any roo behavior. Also, she is the same color as all of the other girls. Well, I guess she can make me feel better by giving me an egg soon instead. [IMG] I guess the search for a roo continues!

Pullet, for sure. One of the few times I've heard of a packing peanut being female. They seem to always be roosters...
